The MFR "dry weight" on WW was also without options (generator, battery, propane tanks, your stuff...). Now most MFR's have moved to a "typical dry weight" where they are including the most common options.
Like most of the other posts I've never really cared about dry weight anyway because that's not how much it weighs when I tow it. It has 10+ gallons of propane, 2 batteries, 75 gallons of water and 30 gallons of fuel plus all my stuff and toys in it. Actual weight is more like 11,000 on mine, more if I open up the second 75 gallon water tank and fill that one too.
And the WW design tended to be a bit nose heavy. On the other hand it has never played wag the dog with me except for when it really was empty, so now I always keep it "wet".
