Given that many many tens of thousands of Californians have bailed out of California and moved to Oregon, that comment may be more attributed to an "ex-Californian" attitude than an Oregon attitude. I am one of these. Those who become sick and tired of the Liberal politics, the crime, the dirty air, the heat, the crowds, the crappy roads, the taxes, etc. etc. etc. and who have the where-with-all to retire out of state do tend to come to Oregon.
That said, what I believe that poster was trying to point out is that it would be best to establish residency in the desired state before moving out of California and purchasing the new RV. I would add that my mail forwarding service, Saint Brendan's Isle, may well provide excellent assistance to the original poster if he is desiring to establish a Florida Residence before becoming a full timer. They have a great reputation in assisting in this matter.
