Anyone ever get in legal trouble over residency issues?

I'm new to this and still haven't picked a domicile (I'm still using the state that we own a now rental home in and launched from) -- what bank was this?

These incidents spooked me enough I'd prefer not to say.... (years of being a "trust-government liberal" mostly went out the window when the bank issues came up....)

We ended up getting an account while in our domicile city in SD (ironically, the same bank we had trouble with in another state) -- maybe because SD recognizes the PMBs as residences.
