Campground Memberships

Could someone post the Urls of the various Campground Membership places so I can check out the various ones? I am looking into joining one or more. So far, I am aware of Passport American and Escapees.
  • I am brand new to Passport America - just joined about 10 days ago. But I already saved more then the cost of the membership the first time I used it. So how can this be a bad idea ?? It's all gravy for the rest of my membership year.

We disagree with Rockhillmanor. PA is the only membership we have and we use the heck out of it when we can. The rest of them don't work for us fulltiming...

    X2...

We find that many times if the park is not full the PA restrictions can be waived. We were just in a park in Colorado with a River site. Supposed to only be good Sunday-Thursday. I got in on Wednesday and asked if they could honor the discount Friday and Saturday? If so I would stay through Monday. A quick check with the manager and we were good to go with half price for the whole stay. Just ask!
We first use Thousand Trails then RPI and then PA in that order.

BTW, we bought a lifetime PA about 10 years ago. In just the last 2 years it has saved more than the cost of the card.
    Good luck,
    Brian

Neither PPA or Escapees is a 'membership' campground program. Both offer discounts for their members.

Read our blog page on membership programs: Membership Parks then do a Goggle search for each of the ones that you want to consider. And get a used membership.

We've saved 10s of thousands of dollars using them over the past 8 years.

Passport works great for us too. Maybe because itonly costs $40 a year. you break even after using it for two nights :)

We don't do any others except Escapees and Good Sam, for the same reason, inexpensive and made our money back quick (well, and we use Escapees for our mail).

I did just that when I started out. Paid for about 4 of them. Never used any of them. Just be sure to READ everything about them before paying for them, they all have a TON of restrictions.

Passport America IMHO the worst, I found out you have to be in a certain area on a certain day and/or have to stay a certain amount of days to be able to get one day discount. Wednesday seemed to be the only day they were willing to discount! And then when reserving only to find out they have discontinued giving the discounts. :R Just saying don't waste your money until you have really looked into them.
  • Too many to list web address

    There's:
    Thousand Trails
    Western Horizons
    Colorado River Adventure
    K/M Resorts of America

    Then you have 'affiliate' memberships
    C2C
    RPI
    AOR
    ROD

    Just to mention a few.......

Do NOT purchase directly from any.
Purchase RESALE only.....pennies on the dollar same benefits/use but some research needed....some memberships have limits on number of times it can be sold so stay clear of those.

    One place to checkout 'resale'......LINK
