After selling the TT and truck when we bought the MH, I said I don't want the cost of having another vehicle I don't need a toad. First trip out with the MH, was to a beach area.... ended up being more than 2 miles to the closest store, for all the stuff you forgot to bring. Second trip out was to Helen GA, up in the mountains (I'll rent a car if needed) no you will not. There is not a car rental in 30 miles and the closest campground is 4 miles from town. For the third trip we had a toad and never have gone any place without it since.
BUT the OP has a dog and a small scooter that he will take so he is good, just needs the Class A or C and will be on the way to a fun life.
