This is a real concern. I was also a high speed workaholic for most of my life with at times as many as 4 businesses, being involved in local politics, president of a National Association in Washington DC and two consulting jobs at the same time. My idea of retiring was to go to SE Asia and build a hotel and operate it. After selling the hotel I ended up with three other businesses including a land development company. I finally sold them all off. I am now back in the US trying once again to "Retire".
Needless to say even after being on the road for more than a year I still get a bit antsy at times often in the grocery store or shopping thinking there MUST be somewhere I have to be...something I should be doing.
For this reason I worked the Beet Harvest this fall as a Foreman and after a day or so in one place I start making repairs and renovations to my trailer.
But really try it, nothing is forever, you can always change again.
In my experience the same person who is a high achieving workaholic gets easily bored with "Hobbies". I read voraciously and am thinking about taking some university courses online. Keeping your mind busy is the key at least for me.
