I personally had to retire at 36 from my very enjoyable, high stress, constantly entertaining and very profitable career as a carrier class network designer due to a sodden & completely debilitating illness. We just sold our home and went full time. We are staying put until my husband retires. Sometimes, I do get bored & really miss my organized chaos. :)
Being unable to even do volunteer work, I've found some ways to keep my sanity. I started sewing to keep my hands nimble. I read books on subjects I thought were interesting. I talk and have really nurtured relationships with acquaintances woo I now call friends. I learned to talk, really talk to my husband but more than that, I really listen. He's my best friends.
The perks of living in 500 sq ft is that you have no choice but to grow clods. I guess you could fall apart. The boredom is really a product of your attitude. If you think you'll be bored, you will. You'll just have to think and pursue rewarding hobbies that fill your time. Working at a park or hosting is a great idea.
