Is your line of work transportable?
Old Biscuit: I am a machinist, how could I do this on the road? Portable? Please explain. Thanks
Golfr61-I hear ya, but I was reminded of a guy who used to come thru the neighborhood with an old panel truck. He looked to be a pretty good sharpener, he could sharpen anything, and he had a stem to stern bench mounted on the street-side with a whole bunch of wheels mounted on a shaft, powered by a transmission pto. No, not a machine shop for sure, but a really sweet example of what a guy could do on the road. He also had a lathe that was mounted above and looked like it could swing down to bench height somehow. It looked to be a wood lathe and when I asked about it, he confirmed that it was a lathe he used during "off-hours", but he didn't elaborate.
I wonder what someone could do in the back of a toy-hauler, or maybe a TC or MH with a trailer behind.
