Long time ago I was concerned about the same thing. Then I called my BCBS supplement insurer and found that they didn't care one whit what state I now live in. Have changed home states twice more since then and my supplement is still issued through the plan 3 states back. Not sure if that's the same with all supplements but am happy it is with mine. The same plan in S. FL would be twice the price. Call the issuer of your current plan and ask them if you move to another state, can you keep your current plan/policy/pricing.
