I am using GPS/Copilot. It dose not need a internet or cell phone connection because the maps are downloaded into the phone. I plug the phone into the 12 volt charger and put the phone in airplane mode so the phone won't connect to any service but the GPS function still works. The travel guides I am using for a trip to Alaska lists the GPS coordinates of each campsite, and I can just enter these into the system instead of a address.
