When we went full-time RVing, the RV would be our first RV we ever owned. Had no idea if we would like this idea or not. My wife wanted to do this more then I did. Told me to give it two years and if I didn't like it we would go back to a sticks and brinks. We have been full-timing now for almost ten years. Still have the same truck and trailer.
We sold everything we didn't feel we needed to take along. I did take a few things I thought I needed and ended up selling them at campgrounds along the way. Didn't really need them. My wife had a box of things she just didn't want to give up and they are stored in one of her sister's house basement.
We had lots of garage sales to get rid of stuff. Did end up with some stuff no one wanted to buy and the stuff ended up on the curb with a "free, take it" sign.
Maybe a fire proof safe bolted down in your RV for your jewelry, important papers, and your will over a safety deposit box.
We sold the condo we lived in. Thought about renting it out, since it was taking longer to sell then other condo units had in the past 24 months. Realtor said they could take care of that. But got lucky and got a buyer a few days after leaving.
