Thank you for all the replies, lots of good tips and a fair dose of 'reality' on the road :)
We did the laundromat thing a few years ago during a 10 day trip near, Hamburg PA and it took HOURS, especially for drying and cost $2.50 per cycle, both wash and dry.
It did bring back old memories of when we were broke and dating. Now we're married :D :R
Perhaps we just found an expensive place and poor equipment?
Installing a combo would be really pushing the space as I'dhave to remove a set of drawers, which is almost half our closet space.
A Class-A isn't likely in our near future as we need a separate 'room' with a full time bed for our DD. The ones with that option are $$$x2 ;)
We've looked at a Class C, as DD said she would be fine with the over-cab bunk. She is often in bed before us, so we don't want her to be full time in a living room convert-a-bed.
We are not ready to fund an expensive new rig at this time. We're in the process of cashing out some things and paying off debts. We'd like to get to zero, or maybe just a bit left on our family farm before we go.
Until then we are looking at a number of options. Unless we fall into a really good deal on a Class C (in which we likely will have or install a combo washer/dryer), we are expecting to take our current hybrid on this Spring trip.
We have a fair amount of synthetic clothing from our years of camping, but it gets worn out from some of the more abusive trips. Perhaps we will work at building up that stock, too.
And it looks like we need to start collecting quarters! Lol.
