I would love to do laundry at $1.25 per machine. I'm visiting friends in the campground they live in. The machines there cost $1.75 per machine and the washer agitates on the wash cycle for a lengthy five minutes. After one of my friends told me he timed it, of course I had to see. Yup, five minutes agitation after filling. Then a single rather short rinse and I have wet, still dirty clothes. So I hauled my wet dirty clothes back to my friends' RV and washed and dried.my clothes in their machines. They bought used appliances ($150 for 2005 GE super capacity top loader & $100 for a 1995 Maytag gas dryer plus $20 for the nat gas to lp conversion kit) and now have clean clothes. The washed yet still dirty experience is not the first but more like the norm in my case. When I do my own schoolbus conversion, it will have a washer and dryer in it.
