The problem with laundry mats is the poor condition and general uncleanliness that we found when we had to use them. And I am unsure how people have so few loads of laundry each week. If you have a weekly load of towels, sheets, whites, jeans, colors, etc., you have spend quite a bit of money. Once we were in a military campground and thankfully I routinely look into the machines before I use them as someone had urinated in all the dryers. Not sure how you fix that! Now we have stackable units and they work well. I can do laundry whenever I want like sitting around in the evening watching TV or first thing in the morning before we head out somewhere. And I only have to take care of laundry a couple times a week as the stackables have pretty good capacity. However, it you do not have room in your rig, you will have to just go to the laundry. Just carry a bunch of quarters with you. When we used a laundry mat, we would go to the bank and pick up $100 in quarters so we did not have to find some when we wanted to do laundry. Not all campgrounds or laundry mats will be able to provide quarters.
