There is (was?) a very vocal group on this forum for Mission,TX. I think those that have never been to that area that read this forum assumed Mission and the RGV were one and the same. That simply is not the case.
The RGV is a long and narrow strip of urban city. IMO the further east and north you go, the more money/employment/education you will find in those neighborhoods.
With that said, the RGV is still a poorer part of the country. The Mom and Pop's RV parks will have smaller sites in an attempt to maximize their winter income with low monthly rent vs. volume. We enjoy the area/people, but know it is not a long term commitment.
