If you mean camping in a tent, those days have passed for us, and getting our 40-foot RV just up to Indian Flat RV Park in El Portal was hard enough in summer . . . can't imagine doing that in winter.

And yes, you won't find a lot of campsites in Yosemite and in other public campgrounds in California in 40ft RV.
