Oregon Campgrounds extended stay.

Hey all, I pretty close to nailing down an assignment (Travel RN). One hospital is in Klamath Falls, Or and the other is in Springfield, Or. My questions are: Are there any gorgeous campgrounds maybe near the hospitals (30mins driving distance is my max)with a ton of Amenities such as full hookup, laundry, Wi-Fi, allow dogs, dog areas, stunning views etc..?
TIA,
Brooks

  • I can't tell you about any campgrounds but if I had my choice of either area I would pick Klamath Falls also. Its beautiful country and lots around there to see and do. Saying that, some folks prefer city to country and if your into big cities then, Springfield is close to Portland with all that is wonderful about that city.
  • I wish I'd noticed this post earlier. Last year I spent a month at Walt's Campground in Chiloquin OR (about 20 miles north of Klamath Falls but an easy and pretty drive). Walt's was not only inexpensive, it has large campsites among trees, and is a very pretty, quiet and relaxing place. Sites nearby are Crater Lake, Colliers Logging Museum, and Train Mountain (which you have to see to believe). So even though it's a hike from Klamath Falls there are things nearby to do. Chiloquin has a library and several small mom&pop grocery stores and even a casino nearby.
