- ncrowleyExplorer III would look at Voyager in Tucson as many have recommended. I would also expand your search to include the Phoenix area. If you do that, I would look at Happy Trails in Surprise. It is a really nice community with LOTS of activities.
- BarbaraOKExplorerWhy have you limited yourself to Yuma or Tucson? I would venture to say that there is a lot more to see and do in the metro Phoenix area. And 55+ parks abound on both the east and west side, with the east side (Mesa, Apache Junction, Gold Canyon) having the most.
Barb - MTPockets1ExplorerWe haven't been there yet, but already committed to The Voyager RV in Tucson. It has lot's of activities that each of us are interested. With about 1700 sites, they have restaurant, club houses, scheduled events, music - enough for anyone's interest. We are looking forward to getting there Nov 1st thru March.
- sfischerExplorerI don't think Casa Grande is near the OP's request for a place in Tucson or Yuma.
- darsbenExplorer IIIN Casa Grande there are a couple of good ones. Fiesta Grande is the one I prefer because the location is convenient to everything the town has to offer
- Golden_HVACExplorerHi,
It would be more difficult for a couple under 55 to find a resort in those towns than someone over 55. I had difficulty in Mesa AZ, but when the owner found out that I could fix his broken A/C he ignored my 12 year old RV and did not ever ask my age. I did not have any kids, and that is mostly what the parks do not want. Many of the over 55 crowd is looking for a quiet place to relax, not a bunch of screaming kids riding bikes all over, and not paying attention while walking around moving cars, and walking behind them while they back up.
For Tucson, I might suggest Benson AZ, where there is a Escapee's RV park. Escapees.com You do not need to buy a lot, but can stay a couple of weeks for a very low cost. It is a slightly higher elevation, and thus cooler in the spring.
Good luck!
Fred. - samsontdogExplorerThere are more Parks in Yuma than you can shake a stick at. Google RV Parks or Resorts. I think there are like a 100 or so plus more in the Yuma Foothills
- missourijanExplorerVoyager on Kolb Rd Tucson, too many activities to mention, 3 pools, 2 Jacuzzi, several pickle ball courts. It's a large place, many park models, they also have modular homes. We were there last year for 3 months and will be there again in January. There are park model only areas, there are mixed park model and rv areas and there is an rv only area. The thing I like the best is everyone is friendly. We stayed in a park in Mesa one year and the "park model people" acted like the "rv people" were a lower rank. Silly.
