If all your husband can think about is what to do when you stop fulltiming (who says it has to be in 10 years) then he really isn't a good candidate to fulltime because he is putting up barriers in his mind.
Things change all of the time, you or he could be dead in 5 years, then what? You can plan that game endlessly, or you can decide to enjoy life, try something different, if it doesn't work out try something else. And no one is saying you have to buy a house again. Lots of people simply rent for a few years when they stop traveling and then move into assisted living or in with a family member, or into a nursing home. And a lot of people simply continue living in their RV at a park in an area they have enjoyed, just don't travel anymore, until they need more specialized care.
A word of caution, just because you don't have a mortgage doesn't mean that you will necessarily save money. RVs need maintenance and repairs, just like houses, and sometimes that can mean significant dollars. Depending upon how many miles a year you do, fuel prices can make a significant dent in any ones pocket, and RV Parks seem to be raising rates very rapidly the last couple of years. So one needs to stay flexible and adjust accordingly.
