Hello - I'm looking for help in finding our travel trailer which was stolen out of our driveway. I have shared a post on FB (9,800+ shares so far!)Here's the story of what happened. Any suggestions on other places to share this are greatly appreciated. I've been scouring Craigslist in Michigan and Ohio.July 16, 2014, between 7:45 am and 2:30 pm our camper was stolen from our driveway just north of Perry, MI on M-52. Please let me know if you've seen anything like it recently pop up in your neighborhood. The ends fold up flat, so you might not see the tent beds. It also has a full slide on the backside. This is a fairly uncommon style of trailer, so it shouldn't be hard to spot. Off white/light tan with blue/greyish graphics. Brand name is SolAire by Palamino (190X). Send me a private message or call your local police department if you think you've seen it. Plate #D032990 We were supposed to leave Thursday for a long weekend trip. It was fully loaded with all of our personal belongings including hand made quilts that were made for my boys last Christmas. Some things aren't replaceable with an insurance claim

Sorry to report but chances are your trailer is now sitting way back in the woods somewhere and is home for a METH LAB setup.The RV units are becoming very popular amoung the druggies...Wishing you all the luck in the world finding it...Darn shame...Roy Ken

I'm curious as to the suggestions to post the VIN for folks to help find it. I would NEVER approach a stranger's vehicle or trailer trying to confirm the VIN as stolen. Checking out similar vehicles/trailers at a campground isn't a very effective way to find a stolen one. It's more likely going to create a huge scene at a campground. Leave the VIN checking to the police.

To the OP, if you have photos of the quilts, I would visit thrift/consignment/pawn shops within about 100 miles from your home and see if anyone sold or tried to sell them to the shops. You might find them at one of the stores. Unfortunately, that's about the best you can do to recover any of the items unless the police are able to recover it on the road somewhere.

Just your run of the mill MasterLock on the tounge. We assume they cut it off, but it was no where to be seen either.

Our neighbor has since put out all his slides, his hydrolic jacks, and pulled the fuse so they can't close the unit up. Something we will def. consider once we replace the rig.

Insurance is a hassle, and while I think they'll come through for us, I hate this waiting game and all the money that's tied up in this mess. The certainly show no sense of urgency in.getting things wrapped up and settled.

I hope it's found and the dirt bags are caught and hung by their... (you fill in the blank). Truly, if it's now a meth lab, I hope they blow themselves up.

I hope that your insurance is good to you.

Now go install some security cameras.

So sorry for your loss! I can't stand a thief!!! JMO, but I don't think I would post the VIN# here. If someone sees the unit contact the police and let the police contact the OP and get the VIN# from him directly.

Although it's a possibility, I also wouldn't put meth lab too high on the list. There are quite a few states that although they require trailers to be registered and display a license plate by law, it's hardly enforced. This simply means that someone may have taken it for their own personal camping use.

Another reason it may be parked back in the woods is for use as a hunting shack.

I agree, check CL. I wonder how putting your own ad on local CL offering a reward would work out???

Thank you for the offer. This is our first camper, and only had it 3 months and only had 3 trips in :(

We're new to this camper thing - and this stolen property thing - is it safe to post the vin # what other markings on a camper are unique identifiers?
