- beetle1ExplorerWe finally decided on the Montana 3582 floor plan. Looks like the best combo and great mark down on the late 2013's. Thought seriously about an Elite Suite, but decided to use the difference and buy a new 3500 Ram Laramie at $59K!!Thanks for all advice.
- cherrykiss3ExplorerI have a Wildcat by Forest River. If I am not in the 5er using it my son is. I have not had a problem with FR honoring the warranty work and it is a 2 yr warranty. I have had a few minor things wrong but nothing major.
Cherry - TxGrands08ExplorerNoticed that Forest River particularly Cedar Creek was not mentioned here, this one was highly recommended to us for full timing. We have less than 8000 miles on this trailer 38' fifth wheel and just in this one trip to Alaska we have had a belly plate fly out from under it going down the hwy at 70 mph, those were put on backwards, at the factory, one runner for a sliding bathroom door fell off of the backside only way to repair was remove a wall to access it, this due to a screw that was too short to hold the weight of the doorframe the factory, now we are sitting here with a front landing leg that is broke and to top that found out today we have a bent axle. A lot of buyers remorse going on here right now. I would say stay away from Forest River. We have babied this trailer because we knew we wanted to go full time one day but it didn't even make it through a good test drive in my opinion. Someone ask me today what else could go wrong and I don't even want to think about the possibilities.
- Ford_ManExplorer2+5 year warranty. I have a 2013 Landmark Grand Canyon. It DOES have the 2 year warranty.
- Pop-Pop_CExplorerExcel, mobile suites, Hitchhiker (NU WA),Lifestylee, are the top ones for ful timing.
IMO, THEN COMES Montana , land mark, maybe the Cardinal?
From what I have read here, the engineers from the now defunct
carriage line are the ones that started the Redwood line. They are having
Some of the same QC. Problems with the redwood's that carriage was
Having at the end. Of course depends on when they were made,
FRI. AFT or MON. AM. IMO! - thecampingmanExplorer

You guys are good, We have had the 15th Mobile Suite ever built(now for sale)for nine years, But going into retirement and still owning a home I cannot justify the 30-40K+ difference for M.Suite with these new plans and models of the other brands here. Absolutely believe in DRV and only changing for a king bed and larger refrig for a year or two on the road fulltime. The 2003 MS only has 2000 miles on the tires and looks very good always kept indoors, but just can't turn loose of that 100K!!ha Thanks for the advice and keep it coming.
Since you're accustomed to Mobile Suites I couldn't imagine your being satisfied with anything less. Plus they've improved a lot since 2003.
It'd be better to look back at $30-40k wasted than to look back at $60-70k wasted. JMHO - WingnusaExplorer

2&5 Landmark Warranty
It sounds like they need to get their dealerships updated also then because we just looked at them about 3 weeks ago. No 2 year stickers and the dealership did say it was only 1 year. My apologies if this created some confusion. Overall I still think their quality left a lot to be desired but hey...that's why there's a bunch out there to choose from!! - kakampersExplorerThe problem is their manual is very generic as they have so many lines. Landmark, which is their top of the line, has a separate warranty directed at full timers. Unfortunately they are behind in updating their website too...
- The_Mad_NorskyExplorerkakampers, good for you.
Those stinkers at Heartland should update the info on their web site then. Lot of folks search and read a lot before buying. Their Internet info should be current, not past tense, as was the case I found. - kakampersExplorerGot back to a computer...here is the link.
