- kakampersExplorerThe FACT is I purchased my Landmark in December and the 2&5 warranty sticker was plastered on the side of my coach...AND my warranty information CLEARLY states it is warranted for two years bumper to bumper!!
You are right however about the fulltime warranty...only their upper level fivers are covered.
P.S. Check RV Business, 3/20/2012...that is the day Heartland introduced 2&5 on the Landmarks...I would link but am on cell phone and can't link. - The_Mad_NorskyExplorerOh, and also note concerning Heartland:
Full timing not warranted in all their units. Another copy/paste from their owners manual on-line:
Any product used for a commercial or business purpose, including,
not limited to, rental, charter, or for other fees for service, or as a residence is excluded from this Limited Warranty. (This
residential limitation shall not apply to Land Mark, Big Horn and Big Country brands.)
So Landmarks, for example, are warranted for full time, residential, use. - The_Mad_NorskyExplorer

Landmark does NOT have a 2 year warranty. They are still one year and their new ones are certainly lower in quality. Just looked at them as a consideration. Redwoods...just looked at them also...lipstick on a pig. If you want a fulltiming rig you need to buy one. We just upgraded our Escalade to a Lifestyle to pick up next week. Take a look. Built by the folks that did Carriage...
All this is my opinion of course...your opinion may be different.
You are WRONG...Just ought one and they certainly DO have a 2&5 warranty!
From the Heartland web site, directly from their owners manual they have there: a copy and paste from the Heartland RV site:
Heartland RV provides to the original retail purchaser who purchases the unit from an authorized dealer and who uses
the vehicle for private single family recreational travel, camping and seasonal usage a one (1) year warranty under
normal use against defects in material and/or workmanship in the construction of the vehicle and its original components.
Sounds like 1 year to me. Enthusiasm for your rig is fine and good, but get or keep the facts straight. - larry_barnhartExplorer

Not going to slam the Redwoods, because I know so very little about them.
However, just looking at their web site today, I noted something that did concern me.
I mean, there are just not many fivers, rated for full time use, built as lightly as Redwoods. 38 foot fivers with a GVWR of 16,000 pounds??? Most others in that size range are rated at least 2,000 pounds heavier.
Excels, the old Hitchhikers, Mobile Suites, all had/have fivers in that size range rated to 18,000 pounds or more.
Mind you, they sure look nice. But I would surely be concerned with that low GVWR they have.
If you saw the 36ft or over 38ft as the story told new Redwood in the latest Trailer life it had E rated tires and I was also thinking "big trailer but light weight" The light tires was a clue for me.

Anything that appears to be a possible problem with the floor plan will only magnify over time. Also look past any "fluff", check the basics. Can you use the facilities while the slides are in? Aren't sure, roll them in and check. When we went fulltiming ten years ago it only took us about 18 months to decide which fiver would work the best for us. Don't be in a rush purchasing. And after ten years it is working just wonderful. Don't take what a salesperson tells you, if their lips are moving they are lying, just my opinion.

- WeldonExplorerIs the Landmark rated for fulltiming? I don't think the Big Sky is.
