Sounds like a good idea to me if you continue working and you get free housing. Having a covered RV spot will surely help with keeping the RV cool. I wouldn't buy a new RV though. You're trying to save some money and that's not the way to do it. A 5th wheel would be best for a more or less permanent spot. Staying in one place for 10 years shouldn't be a big deal. Folks stay in the same house longer than that. You're aware of the space issue so there shouldn't be any surprises. Best of luck!
