When we were in LV in June, it was 115! We have 2 air conditioners and a quality fiver. It was hard getting the inside temps down enough to be comfortable. A small apartment might be a better option, but this could work if you can put up with the heat. Your wife is not used to working... These arrangements frequently change, and not always for the better. Unload the house if you don't need/want it any more.
