It is good idea to have a rebuild kit.
I have not needed one for the regulator I use on the motor home but the house we bought before we stopped full timing has a Watts regulator.
After we moved in I found that it had failed and was allowing the city water pressure of 135 psi into the house. It was about 15 years old and they no longer sell a rebuild kit for it, so I had to buy a new regulator.
I am not happy that the home inspector I hired before we bought the house missed that - he wasn't cheap.
