Hey everyone. I'm new to the Forum, and I'm about to take the leap in a few weeks to full-time RV living. My question is this, Where do you park?Do you stay in RV parks? Trailer parks? Wal-Mart parking lots? I'm a touring performer, so I don't need a home base, but I have no doubt that I'll eventually need to set still for a month or two at some point, and some advice as to where to set up anchor would be mighty helpful.Thanks everyone! RV parks/campgrounds would be the most common choice, with Walmart, etc. parking lots reserved only for single nights while in transit where permitted. With "trailer parks", I'm thinking of those parks built specifically for manufactured homes that seldom if ever relocate. There are a few of those that offer a few RV parking spots, but most don't. The most economical stays at RV parks/campgrounds are usually their weekly and monthly rates when offered. There are both private and public RV parks/campgrounds, with most of the public local, state, and federal parks having maximum stay limits of usually 14 days. Some allow longer stays during light usage periods.

We stay wherever the mood takes us enroute to our snowbird headquarters in Arizona. For example Natchez trace to Natchez camping in the free National Park service campgrounds on the parkway. We will then Follow the Mississippi more or less to the Gulf of Mexico. Stay ON THE BEACH in Holly Beach, LA, known as the Cajun riviera then on to Crystal Beach, TX for more time ON THE BEACH. These are all dry camping free spots (well $10 per year). Then on to the Apache trail spending time where the mood strikes us. We will camp on the Apache trail for $3 with the geezer pass in a national Park Service CG with no hookups.Like magpies if we see a bright shiny object we will detour to investigate.We will spend tie in Walmart lots although we are liking LOWES more and more. When they close the noise leaves and the WIFI is on all night.We dump at spots found on sanidumps.com or wherever legal. Once a week finds us in a CG doing laundry, relaxing taking long hot showers and watching TV the on the road again
