We've been with AMA/AAA for heading towards two decades John and we've had great service on the many times in the early 2000's with a brand new coach we had to be towed (was a faulty fuel pump but they took 18 months to diagnose at our final insistence!), and when our engine collapsed due to a faulty clip they towed us 90 miles to Pocatello albeit if they'd taken us North would have been closer for them. So all in all we just can't complain to date about the service we've had from them, the drivers and the driver's recommendations on where to get repairs done we were towed to.
Just our two cents FWIW.
FTW.
The only problem with AAA is they are 7 separate clubs each with their own rules. Some AAA clubs will not change and inside dually. Some limit their help to paved roads. - FULLTIMEWANABEExplorerWe've been with AMA/AAA for heading towards two decades John and we've had great service on the many times in the early 2000's with a brand new coach we had to be towed (was a faulty fuel pump but they took 18 months to diagnose at our final insistence!), and when our engine collapsed due to a faulty clip they towed us 90 miles to Pocatello albeit if they'd taken us North would have been closer for them. Some people on here except to see the service truck setting on the side of the road at the exact spot of the blowout. - john_engelExplorerYou guys are all awesome...thank you for the info...this gives me a great starting point!!
- catkinsExplorer IIYou got my curiosity up and since we are planning a summer 2017 extended trip in Eastern Canada, I texted Coach-Net a question. Had a real person call me in less than two hours. "Anything else I needed to know??" Wow - a non emergency call back that fast!
I like the 24x7 techs, the call ahead appointments they make for you and more that Coach-Net offers. GS may do the same, no experience with them. I am a long time, four time (unfortunately) user of Coach-net services and have been happy every time. May none of us need any roadside assistance again. Faint hope...................
May I also say I appreciate GS for offering RVers a place to gather and share information. - 1968mooneyExplorer

Here is the skinny. Good Sam and Coach-net probably equal in satisfaction. BUT COACHNET has no place for people to complain online. Good Sam on the other hand gives us a forum to beacchh about poor service. SO that is why you rarely see complaints about Coachnet.
Now, If you read the contract of whichever place you decide to go with you will be ahead of the game as you will know what is covered and what is not.
If you cannot see yourself sitting on the side of the road for a couple of hours waiting for roadside assistance then neither one is good fit for you.
Be aware that in some circumstances their may be a service place literally 50 feet from you but your service is coming from an hour away. The roadservice is dispatched on price and contract. SO the spot near you may be very high in price on a roadservice call and the place that is called for you may be 1/2 the price.
It is economics 101 at work.
Both Coachnet and Good Sam will cover you on dirt roads while insurance and AAA may not.
Again read the contracts before you buy.
I have had excellent service from Good Sam BUT I only expected them to do what was contracted for not what I thought they should do. True I had to wait over an hour for one road service but in my Motor home I was very comfortable waiting.
Another benefit of Good Sam is they will dispatch a mechanic to try and get you going. You just pay parts and labor for time on scene . Good Sam pays for service call travel.
Good Sam will tow you to the nearest shop that is capable and willing to do the work. If you wish to go elsewhere you pay the excess mileage. SO while broke down at the side of the road you have time to figure out where you want to go.
Right now GSRA HAS 15 months for $80.00
