My apologies, You're right, I missed the point that you didn't actually take it to the lot. The fact that they cancelled you without you actually taking it to the lot is definitely wrong on their part and I'm glad they corrected it.
However, we all know Camping World is in the business to make money. They fact that they push their insurance doesn't mean much to me. They probably also try and push their financing company so they can make a buck there too. Yes, shame on them, but it's still the consumer's responsibility to do their homework. I also suspect that the number of people that buy a unit from them, and later put their unit on consignment with them is probably pretty small so the truth is, they probably aren't too interested in sorting it out.
You did the right thing when you were thinking about consigning your unit - called to check your coverage. When you found out you were't covered, you did what you needed to do in order to get the coverage you wanted.
All of the other owners with units on consignment should have done the same thing before they dropped their units off, if they haven't, it's not Camping Worlds fault.
