Beware of Good Sam Auto Insurance

Not a problem, thanks for the reply. But I do disagree with the part that the fact they are a business merely to make money somehow gives them a pass to engage in a business practice that ldoes not protect their clients. This is not a small mom & pop shop business, it's a large national corporation that does business across the United States. And in fact, their upper management rep told me consignment is a large part of their revenues as I mentioned earlier. Yes, everyone consigning should do their own due diligence, but the current business practice of simply asking for proof of insurance in essence gives those consigners a misleading assurance that everything is squared away (insurance wise) once Camping World accepts their unit onto their lots with that proof of insurance which actually doesn't cover the intended use.

Again, even Camping World thought the owner's consigned RV was convered before this revelation that cam to their attention with my situation. There is now a formal onus on them legally to inform their existing consigners of the lack of coverage they thought was in place, but in reality is not. They can no longer claim they are not aware of Good Sam's Insurance underwriter is not covering consignments. So it's a bigger problem for Camping World than it is say for Good Sam who has simply shrugged their shoulders and said "sorry".
