Call in Claim now or Wait for CW Service Dept

I am taking my 5th wheel camper to a CW store in Biloxi, MS (have appointment on July 24th) for what I believe may be a warranty repair. Should I go ahead and get a warranty claim started now, or wait for the CW service department to make the warranty claim?

  • And stand by for them to deny your claim. Probably because something like, "Denied due to clause 15, we reserve the right to deny every claim"
  • Better still call, I believe you have a Keystone, and ask who they suggest for possible warranty work?
  • And if you do go to CW (I wouldn't) get them to sign a promise date for the repairs otherwise you'll never see your TT this camping season!
  • Always get a paper trail going at the first opportunity with any warranty or insurance issue. Not bashng CW....this is how you operate with anyone regarding insurance or warranty work. "She said...he said...I said" is baloney.
  • A warranty claim on the trailer in your signature? If so you must be talking an extended warranty/service plan?
  • GET everything in writing no verbal promises. Leave nothing you remotely would miss if it came up missing.

Ditto!!!! If I were you I would look for an alternative service center. If your policy requires CW only work, good luck.
