Camping World..Do they Value Customers?

We travel all around the country in our 2013 Thor Ace from Camping World. We bought the extended warranty with the assurance that if we had any problems when traveling we could go to any Camping World and they would repair it with no hassle. What a lie? Each time we have a needed repair whether small or large we are always told we can not be fit in. Even if we call ahead to a Camping World that we will be in two weeks later, still no appointments. What good is it to have a warranty that is not honored at the time that you need it? We can't wait until we get home months later to get emergency repairs done. We have even been told by the Camping World of Dallas that they don't do warranty work when it is clearly stated on their website that they do. What ever happened to valuing you customers? We were considering an upgrade from another Camping World but this lack of customer service will make us go elsewhere.

  • We went into CW Spokane a couple of weeks ago ready to buy a folding table. After about a half hour of nobody helping us we sought out a sales associate. They said they would be right over and after about 15 more minutes of waiting we left. Ordered the same table that we were willing to spend just under $50 on Amazon for right about $32 delivered to our door step.

I love CW stores. But, I have to say that they seem to staff the RV sales side fully, but the accessory/retail side seems to always be lacking in staff. Very sad. Hopefully they figure it out.

Exactly, too big for their own good.

  • There service and there sales are both worthless. They seem to only care about making a sale any type of sale, that is there only motivation.

    Better yet..Undercover Boss.

Well not really cause that's a bogus program.....

"Hi, I'm Tony and this camera crew is just following me around for the day while I act like I am a 'new guy'"

AS to your question......"Camping World..Do they Value Customers?"
    NO.

We have been in several CW's across the US and they ALL had similar customer service issues.
Lack of training, no interest shown by employees, lack of attention to customers etc.

I can walk into a Home Depot/Lowes (big stores) and ask an employee "where is such and such" They can direct me to the aisle, how far down the aisle and if it's top/middle/bottom section right/left side.

Ask a CW employee (when you can get their attention)...."I'm not sure---Fred do you know?" "Think it's over there if we have it"
Meanwhile they go back to their gossip session.

  • just 1 more horror story abt this outfit,,i still don't understand why u have to go to a CEO to get things right, ever sence he took over seems like has gone dn hill in all respects CW, GCRE ,warranty, extended, even the Rally (they cant even get spell ck to run on this grp)
