I like to take advantage of the 3 or 4 night stays for an hour or so sales presentation. I have no problem attending the meeting, then just walk away.
My only experience with Ocean Canyon was a 3 week stay in November, 2014. Got to have Thanksgiving Dinner with about a 100 OCP members at Mountain Lakes in Alabama. I don't believe that I have ever met a group of Rv'ers that seemed so happy. We were staying there using our ROD membership and were the only "outsiders" there. Seems like a mixture of age groups. A lot said they only used their membership for vacations and special events. I thought that was a lot of expense for just a few weeks a year. In talking with OCP members, I do believe that there membership is one of the most expensive.
