Can I let our membership expire..and join again later ?

So our Platinum plan expires in a couple of weeks. We won't go on the road with our Class A for about 6 months. I asked a rep about letting our plan expire....and signing up as a new member for $1...

Because if you use the roadside assistance, it is still counted as a "incident" when trying to get quotes from other insurance companies for coverage. It happened to me just this year. Agent suggested to use a separate roadside company for roadside only.
