A pattern of avoidable claims, like repeatedly running out of gas or always getting stuck in the mud at the RVer's favorite boondocking site would probably get a customer cancelled quicker than a roadside flat and a tow due to mechanical issues. Many of the claims that can be made against Roadside Assistance plans could be prevented by the customer being attentive. If they are reckless, you can bet they will be dropped like a hot potato.
It's simple marketing jive. THey really don't want to get into the details. 90 per cent of the people don't want to hear it anyway.
THe company wants to sell the sizzle. They want you to have the perception that if you breakdown the roadside assistance company will come save you.
Discussing all the details is generally avoided. They want to make the sale first answer questions later.
Limitations and cancellation policies are reserved for the fine print.
Nothing new here.
