Thank you for your post. Please keep in mind if you have a inflated spare tire. You will not be charged at all to install the spare tire ( this is a sign and drive benefit ). The posts above are talking about the cost you might accrue if you need a new tire and you don't have a spare tire.

goodsamcs@goodsamfamily.com - jpprvExplorerWell, I just received a call from GSER(caller ID says Allstate Ins. Co.)I guess all road service is the same company! I was charged $182.82 for parts and labor. Was told "parts" was NOT itemized but was $13.00. How do I know I got "parts?" I have requested a receipt and should be getting one.(I hope)So that means the labor was $169 +/-. That to me seems a little steep. The gentleman that called agreed and said he would refer this on to his supervisors that maybe itemized receipts should be submitted. Never known of any company paying a bill without an itemized statement. I know we didn't when I was office manager. I do not like a charge put on my credit card with out knowing EXACTLY what it is for. Does anyone else feel that way?Out of "courtesy" GSER is crediting my account $100 which I greatly appreciate. When I inquired if that meant the provider would not get the billed amount I was told "we" will absorbe the refund. ?? He said he would call me back when he found out more. The provider was here less than one hour and my husband says he did place a valve stem. Still need receipt. BTW.....charges were billed to Signature Motor Club, North Brook, IL. I guess it doesn't matter which road service you have. It's all the same!
- jpprvExplorerThank you. I look forward to receiving the answers to my questions.

What you have stated is NOT how it was relayed to me. The gentleman on the phone plainly said there was a $130 charge for mounting the tire to the rim and he needed a credit card # to do that. Everyone seems to have different answers to same questions. I think that is where the confusion comes in. Explain what is being charged and exactly for what! All of your reps need the SAME training because I get different answers. Again, I have questions with no answers.

jpprv,
We completely understand your situation. Adam M. sent over a claim to our roadside assistance coordinators about the actual charge, not authorization, for $130 to your credit card. They should be in touch with you this week to look into the issue.
The post I made about the $130 authorization was to clear up why dispatch may need to do that with your card up front before services are completed. Adam and I both understood you were acutally charged the $130 and have our roadside team looking into it.
Jpprv, if you do not hear from a GSRA coordinator by 6/24, call into member services available 24/7 at 1-800-234-3450 on 6/25.
I hope this clears everything up better,
S. Wilmes

Hello All,
Thank you all for your questions regarding this issue. Allow to shed some light on these issues. Good Sam Roadside Assistance will cover the Service Call (Typically included all trip charges, fuel fees), for a call that requires a tire to be brought out and be mounted on a rim and then placed upon the Rig. We do not cover an costs associated with the labor or parts of that tire service. If you already had a mounted spare on a rim, Good Sam Roadside Assistance covers the Service Call and the Changing of that Tire as no additional Parts or Labor are required for that.

Well Wes, GS screwed me on that one. I'm not worried about it now, but I'll remember it in the future. I do remember been asked for a credit card # for the $100, I beleive by GSER. Anyway, I agree with jpprv that everyone at GSER need to be on the same page. - jpprvExplorerGood Sam:
I don't have a problem with paying labor costs. Please understand that. I do have a problem with $130 charge. I would just like to know why so high. I have had questions in the past and I still do not have answers. THAT is what I am saying. No one I have talked to within GSER has been able to answer the questions. The rep that called for me to renew told me one thing and then after reading the brochure he contradicted what he had just said. He stated he had been doing this for years and had never noticed the labor charge on a tire mounting. All I am saying is GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER and tell everyone the same thing. I just want my questions answered and an itemized statement for services renderred in a timely manner. - Good_Sam_Care_TExplorerHello All,

A couple of years ago we had a flat and pulled into a gas station to call GSRS. The person that was sent charged us $100. All he did was swap the flat for the spare. According to GSRS I am responsible to pay for the service and they pay for the ???
I never really understood that one. Having said that, I guess even with all the, read in between the lines, it is better to be able to call one place that can get help out to you ASAP. Basically, whether one has ERS or not, you are always going to have to pay for services.
Maybe the person who came out to change the tire scammed you.
GSRS was well aware of the $100 charge. They told me that was the charge for that person to come out. When I asked what GSRS was paying for, they basically said, fuel, etc... If it was a scam, GS should have suspected it IMO. I paid it and was glad to continue our vacation. I don't have a problem paying for parts and labor, within reason, but I always questioned that one. Oh well.. - PuddlesExplorer
