So true. The original intent as I can recall it was to be a Good Samaritan to other RVers who may be in need on the road. There was also the social aspect of it - to organize gatherings of like minded folks whose common enjoyment was traveling and camping. Breakdowns were pretty common and to have another RVer stop to help was nice. Club or not, I hope that attitude still exists but the main word today is - MONEY - and how it can be made by selling the things that RV folks need - accessories, vehicles, insurance, etc. I am not sure exactly who owns GS now (Affinity or Camping World) but they still do perform a service and I appreciate some of the efforts of Marcus to improve the service to the RV owner. I forget the name of the person at Trailer Life who started this organization but it was a wonderful thing at the time and has grown tremendously, both in numbers and in commercial appeal. Still would like to see a little bit of recognition for the charter members who were the initial developers of Good Sam.
