Considering ESP vs. Extended Warranty
Would appreciate any opinions...
We have a 2013 Jayco Seneca 37FS with 3,600 miles on it. This will be our 2nd season and we are approaching our 1 year anniversary of taking delivery.
I am considering extending the warranty just because of all the technology and components on this rig.
I have the following quotes:
From dealer: Preserve Extended Warranty: $4,750 for 5 years. $200 deductible except for at their dealer stores (where there would be no deductible)
From GoodSam ESP: 6 year, $3,883 with $250 deductible. No tire coverage at this price. paying annually.
Questions:
1. any big difference on ESP vs. traditional warranty?
2. Anyone have experience getting the tire coverage? On a new rig, should I have problems within the first 5 years or 50,000 miles?
3. Any other general comments or recommendations?
4. Any experience with deductible limits? I confirmed with the dealer that the deductible is on a per component basis, not per service all or trip. (unless I take it to them, and it is free)
Thank fellow RVers.
