seems kinda high to me plus we have our two cars insured.

Seems cheap to me too, but it really depends on the policy type. We have fulltimer's insurance that covers $25K of contents, replacement of our bus, and hotels when needing covered repairs. That is on top of the regular vehicle insurance - liability, collision, comprehensive, etc.
