Dealers continue to earn their reputations as money grabbing scum. This time I put $1,000 down on an Adventurer. Camping World was all nice-nice in treating me. During the next three days while I was getting my financing in order, I contacted my salesman each day to explain how theprocesswas going. This all occurred from Friday to Sunday. Monday I called to finalize and set up a walk-through and delivery date. What was I told? The Adventurer had been sold! I shall NEVER deal with any Camping World store again for anything! Daily needs can be better met at Walmart. My Good Sam membership expires soon and it will not be renewed.

IF YOU HAD A WRITTEN contract?? read it good then contact the marcus complaint debt. don,t no how they could sell it if you were in contract.

I'm guessing you filled out some type of paperwork when you paid your $1000. Was there a penalty clause if either party defaulted on the contract?

First of all if there was a deposit this should have never happened. I will do what it takes to make this right including giving you a large discount on a unit. Email me directly and I will get this resolved. Mlemonis@campingworld.com

Please report back, NOT WITH THE AMOUNT OF DISCOUNT, as that should be between you and Marcus, but report back and let us know if he made it right.Remember mistakes can happen. For the record, I have NEVER bought a unit from Camping World, only the occasional trinket or unique item I can't find anywhere else. I have made sure I included them in my research though, if for no other reason than the response you get on these boards when you have a problem.

Agreed, but if we express disbelief we are mean, critical, and bashing a new member.

The forum has gotten a lot more of these rants and diatribes since Good Sam has been promoting the forum and added the 'Ask Marcus' section.

You may notice this isn't even in the correct section, it should be in the 'Camping World RV sales' section, not the Good Sam Club.

Perfectly good rant from a new member ruined by the facts. Shame on you Marcus for putting an end to an otherwise flawless bashing of Camping World. It appears the Sales department did all the right things, pretty dang nervy if you ask me. If this doesn't stop soon, we are going to start hearing how people got the right item and the right price and had it installed correctly. Then we will have to start attending weddings of dogs and cats.
