  • Hello looking forward,

These are very good questions. To answer your first and third question, we are partnered with Camping World and whenever you purchase an RV through Camping World, they provide the roadside assistance. The Dealership provided accounts are a seperate type from the accounts purchased directly through Good Sam so therefore they are entered into our system seperately. This essentially means that when the accounts are entered, the dealerships don't have the ability to extend an existing account. However, we do. This leads to the answer for your second question, which is that we can certainly add that additional year onto your existing membership if you like. All you have to do is make a call into 888-707-7911 and we can take care of that for you quickly. That number leads you directly to the Elite team and they are specially trained to handle situations exactly like this. They are there to help you with anything you may need assistance with. After we add the additional year, then you keep your existing membership information and you have access to the online resources which the dealership accounts do not currently provide. I hope this has been helpful and please let me know if you need anything else. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

  • I also have a question concerning Good Sam Roadside Assistance(GSRA). I purchased a new RV at the Rally in Syracuse last month. This gave me the 'Elite" status with GS. The Elite Status provided me with a new membership number and one year free roadside assistance (under a new roadside assistance number). At the time, I had roadside assistance with Good Sam (expiry date 2015)and was told by Camping World that the roadside assistance provided under the Elite package would be added to my existing policy. I received the cards for the GSRA provided by the Elite membership and it was for a year from the date of the RV purchase. I called Roadside Assistance and was told that they could not add this onto my existing policy and to contact the dealer. If I could not get any results this way then to re-contact them, cancel my existing policy and then purchase it again in a years time. This does not appear to be user friendly for a service that is supposed to give better service.

    Questions:
-If the dealer is an agent of the GSRA and has the authority to sell the service under the GSRA banner why must I go through these hoops?
    - why can the new GSRA not be added to the existing policy?
    - Why was I (or any other person who got Elite membership)not asked if I had existing coverage of GSRA?

I am sure that this is not a unique situation but one that affects most people who are members of the "elite" status
  • Hello billlmc,

The Good Sam Club Elite membership is separate from the Roadside Assistance membership. So, the Elite status does not provide Roadside Assistance. This being said, your Elite Good Sam Club membership will be valid through the end of 2015.

    I hope that this helps,
