Employees

I won't reveal who said it or where but I have heard this from 2 employees of stores and 1 other I asked to verify. All three said CW threatens them with termination if they don't recruit a certain number of new members each month. Isn't CW a member store? It really isn't conducive to non-members even entering and in the winter up north can get really slow. Is this really what you do? I only ask because you pay the same as Walmart. I worked for McDonnnell Douglas Flight Test and they threatened us every day saying they could replace us but we would just reply,"Go ahead, you have to train the newbie for 10 years and think of the liability of a no experienced Aviation Mechanic, remember the DC 10 fiasco."

That would be "Original Poster", or, in this case: you.

Ask a moronic "question", get moronic lambasting!
  • Thanks F105. wbwood, I agree but I was just asking why they threaten peoples jobs. Dog Folks I dont work for CW. Francesca I don't know who O.P. is. Hiatus the small difference in pitch in different tones.Interesting how McDonnell Douglas made billions by building the most popular airplane in history and then selling out to its competitor and they are still building C17s and I could care less if they are a blip in history, so is Hitler. I made a lot of money working for them, and have a great retirement package. They did'nt hurt me. Besides everything else, can't Marcus answer questions instead of a bunch or Moronic lambasting.

"Remember the DC 10 fiasco." ? I certainly do as I was a mechanic for the first U.S. Air carrier to operate the type.

I won't go into details here, but the many faults of that airplane were due to many more things than poorly trained or new mechanics. I know thats not the point you're making here, but I think you may know what I'm talking about here considering you once worked in their Flight Test area.

BTW - I think "fiasco" is too mild of a word here, especially considering how many passengers lost their lives on that airplane.
  • If you accept a job knowing the pay and terms, then there is nothing to complain about.
  • :E.....^^^^^^A voice from the grave^^^^^^;)

    HEY O.P.!

My hairdresser's cousin's best friend's next door neighbor's mailman is my Very Reliable Source, and he says you're all wet.

Camping World employees only get fired if they don't meet their putting-up-with-stupid-questions quota. Suggest moving this one to the "Camping World" section of the forums so somebody there can get some points...

Didn't work out too well for McDonnell Douglas did it? Maybe if they were more aggressive in making sure their employees met their quotas and job performance standards they would still be a viable company instead of nothing but a footnote in aviation history.
  • Quotas have been used in almost every industry since time began. CW is a no different.

The other issue is, if you don't like the working conditions, find another job and move on.
