Extended Service Honored

I am an RVer that expects to get what I pay for and am promised. And to my ultimate surprise I did with Good Sam's extended service plan.

We had a handful of issues with our TT and gave the service manager at CW in Bridgeport, NJ a laundry list when we dropped it off. At the end of the day it was all completed. Yes! That same day it was done. And we left not paying a dime.

What did we have done? New freshwater tank, new front stabilizers, repaired switch for awning, inspected furnace and checked coolant level in a/c. But they also replaced my breakaway cable because they said it was frayed. There was a bunch of small "complaints" we had about some small issues, but they went through and took care of what was wrong. He said not a big deal and took care of it.

If you are on the fence about an extended service plan, just do it. It's worth it. What we had done has paid off already. We've gotten our moneys worth already.

  • DavidP and Bird Freak.... what are you basing you opinion of cooling system service on? As a professional HVAC technician, I can tell you definitively whether a system is very close to a proper change or not without EVER connecting to the system with gauges. In fact.... I rarely gauge up, unless I have a direct reason to do so.

Curious as to age of your camper. Some one is not being straight with you about checking coolant in a/c.
  • I think it's interesting that whenever GS gets a compliment, someone thinks it's bogus. I'm glad I don't go through life thinking everyone is out to lie, cheat and steal.

I take offense to that. I don't go that way with businesses. If it works I say it works. If it doesn't I say it doesn't.
  • Not sure how CW checked the refrigerant level in your AC when it is a sealed system. Might want to ask them that. Keep an eye on that tank while traveling on the freeway:) All kidding aside I’m glad you’re happy with the service.
