This is all well and good in theory, but I have trouble about 50% or more of the time when I do stop at a Flying J just to get the Discount on the Discount card.
If I am NOT getting a substantial discount at Fly J then it just isnt worth stopping there considering the long lines and wait times to pay.
Further depending on the credit cards interest rate it may be no bargain at all unless you pay it in full each month.
I might consider this if you can ever get Fly J to actually accept the discount card with NO issues across their network and the interest rate is competitive (and by competitive I don't mean 24.99%)
What problem do you have?
With the Good Sam card that you swipe for 3¢ discount?
The RV Plus Charge Card has NO Interest charge.
All balances must be paid in full at the end of each billing cycle. Unlike a credit card, the RV Plus Charge Card requires payment in full each month. By paying the balance monthly, the RV Plus Charge Card saves you from costly interest charges. This allows you to receive the fuel discounts, plus the convenience of a charge card without accruing costly interest charges.
Yes you are correct about the CHARGE Card. My mistake. I thought they were referring to the Flying J Credit Card.
As for my problem: Well in many visits to Fly J's I have only been successful in getting the three cents in a few cases (All at company owned locations not franchises, I have the store listing) And when I make that unnecessary trip inside and stand in line behind 8 Long Haul Drivers queuing up for their showers or scale tickets, the person at the desk knows NOTHING about the discount or how it works.
So I felt justified in my skepticism, but having an open mind and reading what you wrote and upon some more investigation, I may look into it.
Thanks for the clarification
