There are 2 different PFJ cards for GS members. One is the RV Plus card. It is a charge card with a limit which allows you to start ANY pump at PFJ and gets you 6 cents off per gallon of diesel. The second is called the Swipe and Save card. It gets you 3 cents off per gallon of diesel. It will only start the RV lane pumps....not the Truck lane pumps. (You must go in and prepay). The GS and CW site state that you get one with your renewal or new membership. My membership is good till Aug so I emailed GS and they have 2 on the way.

Have had the GS/PFJ charge card since the beginning. Signed up for it at the Hershey
RV Show and got the card about 3 weeks later. No big issues with it aside from figuring
out how to make payment. Normal web billpay did not work; they required payment
through their website.

Never had the pump shut off at any set amount although we did request an increased
credit limit when we went from a TT to Class A.

Like getting the discount and most of the time DEF is available at the pump. If memory
serves, we also got a discount on the CAT scale fees.

Stopped at a couple of their new travel centers last month in the midwest. Nice places.
Was tempted to try the potato soup because it smelled so good.

I used the RV Plus card going North last spring for the 8¢ a gal. Had no problem with it.
On way back in the fall my Discover card had a 5% discount on fuel.

So I used the old Flying J reward 3¢ card and Discover card and got a 19-21¢ a gal.

Sounds like Pilot/FJ may phase out their 3¢ discount card sometime.
So I called GS yesterday and have a new Lifetime membership card for the Swipe & Save on it coming.

Next year RV Plus in Spring & Swip & Save with Discover in the fall. :)

Also had the charge card since the beginning and other than a few Pilot stations were I had to go inside, it's been trouble free. Like to fill up with out a limit and with the security code requirements less chance of having card being stolen and used. The simple pay in full each month system on line has been great since we're on the road.

I have had the card since it was available. Took about a month to get card. Problems with using it at some Flying J's that first year. This year the problems have been almost trouble free. We stopped at one Flying J that receipt came out as a blank paper. Went into store for printed copy. Store manager asked what the problem was. Hopefully printer got repaired. Pilot fuel stops always require going into store to get receipt.
Couple of other problems I have had since getting card. I use my banks pay system. They require a hard address for any payee. Had to call Pilot for the information.
Along the way I stopped getting email notices of my account. Had to call again. Somehow my email address was not in the system. When put back in system I get a statement every month. Even when amount I owe is $0.
I like my card. No going into store in most places. Can do a fill-up without restarting pump. Get cash price for fuel. Get an additional $.06 off for each gallon.

One problem I see on this forum is confusion over multiple programs.

Flying J had a loyalty program.
Pilot had a loyalty program.

The two got merged into the "My Rewards" program.

Pilot/Flying J and Good Sam got together and the RV Plus program was created.

Pilot/Flying J has some franchisees with their own separate loyalty program, which do not honor discounts for gasoline users. Some franchisee's simply don't honor any discounts because they have separate computer systems that don't link to P/FJ. These appear to be more common with Flying J than Pilot branded stations.

Pilot/Flying J seems to be ending the My Rewards program.

Good Sam and P/FJ have a new "Swipe and Save" program which will be a discount for Good Sam members - but with the member's regular credit cards for payment.

I'm sure it is all confusing.

I only have and have only used the RV Plus Charge Card program with Pilot/Flying J. That program is not ending or changing.

Also be aware that in some places, P/FJ is the name on a station/center apparently owned by another company - and some don't honor the discounts, or only give them in the truck lanes.

P/FJ prints a booklet of all their locations by state - be sure to get that and check the notes about discounts and such when you go to a new state for the first time.

You can find the info on line, but it is very cumbersome compared to a quick look in the paper book.

My experience has been the same, my biggest problem....remembering the PIN #!!!!

we too were among the first to apply for the RV Plus Charge Card and have been using it for just under 2 years .... don't remember exactly how long it took to get the cards but don't remember it being an exceptionally long time .... as noted above, in the early days there were some computer issues at some stations .... those problems have apparently been taken care of because in our travels through the lower 48 we've had zero issues with stations taking the card .... I do remember one month when our statement showed they didn't take out all of the money they should and my wife called them .... she was told that they had some sort of accounting computer issue which would be taken care of at the next billing ..... that proved to be the case .... its been so long that I don't remember if we had to call and activate the cards .... when you use the card at the pump you only have to run it once ... we've been pleased with the program and, when it is a benefit to us to do so, use it extensively

as a side note, there are bunches of folks out there who consistently post scathing comments about the program and the people who use it .... I don't care in the least who they buy fuel from nor how they pay for it .... it still mystifies me as to how they feel empowered to try and control where I shop and how I pay for it

Used it last fall when went up north, only once had a problem, and had I read the notes on the station I would have known that they offered a discount on diesel only. I'm happy with card overall.
I like the .07 Cents a gallon discount and detailed statement.
