GMAC - Good Sam Motor Home Insurance

Question

I have a question, We took out Insurance with GMAC - Good Sam on our Class A Motorhome, then my husband died and I decided to sell the Motorhome. So, after I sold it I called and cancelled the Insurance with GMAC on the Motorhome as I didn't have the Motorhome anymore. I was told that I would have to pay a $50.00 cancellation fee. I had never heard of a cancellation fee when you sold a vehicle and cancelled the Insurance on it.

Has anyone else experienced this with GMAC and Good Sam?

Is the cancellation fee mentioned in your insurance documents? Either way, I'd probably press on with the cancellation.

If your insurance is with GMAC/National General then yes they do have a cancellation fee. The only way you can find out about it is to cancel your policy. The only place that the cancellation fee is clearly written is in a manual somewhere in their office. My cancellation fee was $270. Sorry about your spouse.
