good Sam extended warrenty

Money well spent. Our 2007 Independence developed the dreaded howling rear end at 16,000 miles. Good Sam extended covered the whole amount. (some 5300 dollars minus the 500 deductible)
Thank you Good Sam for a painless and pleasurable experience.
  • Hey All,

I have moved this thread into the appropriate area of the forum.

  • Biscuit... the plan is monthly. We could drop out anytime, although I doubt I would short of some unforeseen emergency that would take us off the road.

the plan is 86 a month and covered the drive train up to 180,000 miles as long as you have some kind of maintenance record.(save receipts f you do it yourself). Also covers your generator, reefer, things like my electric steps, and the rear trailing arm bushings that they found were bad while doing the rear. etc.plus if you breakdown over 100 miles from home, it pays up to 10 days for a motel and a rental car. For an extra 20 a month, they covered tire blowout regardless of tire year. Now my policy covered a motor home up to 15 years old. Others may be different.
Old-Biscut... we've had this plan since Oct. last year, however, we had Good Sam coverage on our old bus conversion and were also pleased back then.

And this plan cost how much?

  • But how much did the ESP cost a year and what have you spent for that....
  • What caused a failure at such low mileage? Lack of oil? Then again, they wouldn't cover it in that case? Interesting. I've had it for years, never a hit like that. Whew, glad it worked out for you.
  • Just curious.....

What was initial cost of this 'service plan' and for how many years of coverage?

How long have you had it?

    Ever used it before?
