- IdaDExplorerDo they pump sounds through the 2014s as well? I was in a friend's 2014 King Ranch last weekend and I thought it had a pretty throaty exhaust sound for a V6.
The idea of pumping exhaust sounds into a car seems beyond silly but maybe that's just me... - Community AlumniHere's a video I ran across of the engine sounds that the mustang uses. These guys found that when they switched between their custom maps, which faux raises the rpm, the appropriate sounds would activate through the speakers. The car is at idle the whole time. You can barely hear the engine at idle. The sounds reminds me of video game cars lol. Granted it might sound more natural with noise from the engine at the same rpm mixed in.

Adding engine sound to the cabin? I would hope there is a delete option.
No possible way I want this artificial noise. I will pass on the intake and exhaust mods also.
Far more pleasing to just have the silence of an electric motor.
One again, a pie in the sky non-option...... - Fast_MoparExplorer

There's no way to disable it except for pulling the fuse for the radio, but that disables the radio also. If you swapped out the radio for an aftermarket unit then you could get rid of it.
My 6 year old Chevy is starting to have an intermittent problem with the radio speakers. Since the turn signal clicking sound is now one of those "piped in" features, sometimes I hear the signal clicking, and sometimes I do not. It will be interesting in a few years when Ecoboost V6 F150 owners suddenly can no longer hear the V8 sound coming from the radio speakers. - Community AlumniThere's no way to disable it except for pulling the fuse for the radio, but that disables the radio also. Fact is, it's no cheesier than opening up the exhaust, or adding an intake, other than the fact that you won't annoy your neighbours. A nice sounding engine is a nice sounding engine fake or real. Kind of like boobs, they may be "fake", but are often an improvement!

Fred.
That would be a Reg Cab with 8' box and HD Payload. The bigger cabs have less payload. The F150 has had this since at least 2011 with the HD Payload option. Some folks call them a "heavy-half". I understand other manufacturers used to have heavy-halfs, but not longer do so.
I see stripper versions of these Reg Cab heavy-halfs in construction, roofing and so on. They're a lot cheaper initially and ongoing than the F250s. - fla-gypsyExplorerIt is a nice looking truck and should do well in sales
