Thats a good point. I should look through the 500 pieces of paper I got when I bought the RV and see if there are any.

Extended warranties IMO may not be the best deal going.

I asked when we took delivery and was a bit shocked when the quote was $1875.00 for six years (that's actually 5 years.)

We declined and the dealer guy said: "wise move I wouldn't fall for that price either"

I can still turn a wrench and operate a caulk gun if need be anyhoo.

The only extended warrenty I've found worth buying was the one on our S&B water softner. It gets zapped by lighting at least once or twice during the warrenty period, new control panel

Too many loop holes on the RV and/or any vehicle for us. Try reading one of those extended contracts.

The service department at the dealership where we bought our TT was so bad that I rejoiced when the warranty ran out. No more multiple trips to fix the same problem and no more body damage from them backing it into other trailers on the lot. The downtime for our TT was dramatically reduced when I took over fixing anything that went wrong.

My trailers been out of warranty for over 10 years now... Other than regular maintenance stuff and whatever minor things I've fixed over that time, nothing major has happened to me..

If an extended service contract makes sense for you, go for it... I'm sure there are many places that would love to sign you up! ;)

Just be sure to read the very fine print on claims to be sure you understand all of their policies.. Biggest one that I see happen to folks is they don't get 'pre approved' for a repair because they are out on the road and essentially stuck until they get whatever broke fixed... They get it fixed and try to turn in the claim and are denied because they didn't get 'pre approved' for the repair.....

A boat is a hole in the water into which you throw money, an RV is a box in the forest into which you throw money. Had both, but never purchased an extended warranty. Sucker bets. Thinks break, but not as fast as the payments disappear on a extended service warranty. Save your money.

Yeah, that won't cover most things that will go wrong because of loopholes in the fine print- a 60 some page booklet of what's not covered that is handed out with the signed aftermarket contract. I have found that out recently.

We're cool till next April.
Trying to get as much fixed for free as possible.
I think Heartland is getting sick of me calling, e-mailing and whining to the dealer.
Gotta say they've been good so far.
Collected a bag full of broken parts already.
