Good Sam insurance vs AARP Hartford

Question

I could not figure out why as a member of Good Sam club the insurance is 3x what I can get from my AARP Hartford. I thought this was a benefit to joining. So far the only saving 3 cents a gallon and 10% off now and then..  I guess everything is a profit center once you join...

Yep, Good Sam (GMAC then National General) had my back for insurance on all my vehicles for many years at a very reasonable price. Then, several years ago, I got a ticket for running a red light (first ticket in over 20 years) and they jacked up the price to almost 3x what I was previously paying.

I now check several sources every time my insurance comes due and go with the cheapest. Currently we have Geico.
