IMHO This is the best idea for getting them back and now with cell phones probably with an hour! Cell phones change how we do a lot of things now.

That's what I was thinking too.

If you are on the road RV'ing how in the hell is GS going to know where you are at? They are most likely just going to mail the keys to your house. Which could be 3,000 miles away!!!

You can get the dog tags made at almost any flee market, farmer's market, state fair, etc. Usual cost is $5 - $6. The Pet stores have them also, but they usually want $10 - $12.

WOW I found one of those in a junk drawer I was cleaning a while back.

In the event Good Sam doesn't do it here is an idea I have used on all our key sets.

Find a company (hardware store, feed store, pet store, etc) that has a dog collar tag machine. I have "REWARD - $" engraved on one side of tag. On the other side I have my phone #'s engraved. I have, on 3 occasions, had a call asking if I had lost my keys. Typically I have been less than 5 miles away! The finder has always refused the "reward", but typically I give them a Starbucks $10 card I have stashed away.

Yup we ALL have that same key for sure. :B

I just keep a dup set of all my keys hidden on the MH.

There is one spot on RV's that all of us have, that is a perfect place for second set of keys.

Can't tell you where that spot is on a public forum then all those bad guys would know.:W

A lost key service, that is a good idea.

I can see a downside though. If I am 2,000 miles from home I would rather my keys be turned into a lost and found rather than being dropped in a mailbox. Specially true if I am sitting at the next table to the person who picked up my keys!
